Remember when download was something only nerds did, and the original
mix tape was a collection of your favourite songs, recorded when your favourite DJ spun on the radio. You would sit and wait while he/she talked about the hottest single or hottest rapper and pray that he/she would let the song play from beginning to end without interruption. You would sit there hands poised with two fingers on the
PLAY and
RECORD button and the other on the
PAUSE, tape queued for that summer banger to come on, and the minute you knew the DJ was gonna shut the hell up for 3minutes and 35secs you moved with the dexterity of a concert pianist to capture the soundtrack to your summer.

If you could take it back to those summer days, when Salt N' Pepper were still banging out the asymmetrical cuts and the Lycra unitards and were telling you to push it, Tupac and Omar Epps had "Juice", and Micheal Jackson was a "Smooth Criminal" what would your soundtrack be?
