Louboutin is Doing it Up For Barbie starting December 7, 2009

Mattel is kicking off its 'Barbie as Muse' projects next month, with shoe maven Christian Louboutin, the first designer to customise the iconic doll.

Louboutin has created three dolls - which will be sold exclusively on Net-A-Porter.com from December 7th. Inspired by Nefertiti and Marilyn Monroe, the dolls feature a new terracotta tan skin tone and a new in-step to enable the doll to cope with the gravity defying heels.

In addition, four Barbie-sized pairs of shoes accompany each doll in their own Louboutin shoe boxes.

A dedicated Barbie collector's set, selling for £100, comprising the Louboutin Barbie doll with a jewellery thief theme, together with a diary-style calendar entitled A Year in Paris, will also launch on the fashion site.

Overwhelming Doomsday Obsession!

Is it me or does it seem that the obsession with the end of humanity is just @ an all time high? I live on Apple.com/trailers because I have an overactive imagination and I want to see what great movies are coming out. (Anything but horror flicks) Anyway, for the last several months its seems that the obsession with humanity's end has reached a new high in terms of movie production. Everything from the Tim Burton animated feature length "9", to the upcoming "Legion", "2012", Denzel Washington's "Book of Eli' and more, it seems like Hollywood is in on some big secret that the Mayans left behind in reference to the Winter Solstice of 2012.

Either way, Hollywood's newest obsession is far better than the current Vampire obsession which is just getting old mighty fast. So I strongly encourage you to read between the lines. Maybe just for one Hollywood is trying to provide more than just entertainment.
